The Believer's Bible Class is a Sunday school adult class at the First Baptist Church in downtown Dallas, Texas. This class, a multi-generational group of committed Christians, is taught by Douglas W. Brady. Doug has been the teacher of this class for many years, and the class has grown because of the systematic, verse by verse teaching that Doug Provides.
An attorney by trade, Doug's passion is with the teaching of the Word of God. During his undergraduate work at the University of Texas, Doug majored in Archaeology, Greek and Hebrew. These have given him a great foundation for the study of the Word, and with his God-given gift of teaching, he is able to transmit this knowledge to class members.
The class has a website which is viewed by thousands around the world every year. This podcast is an extension of that website, which is located at http://believersbibleclass.com.
Todays lesson is the first in an upcoming series on the old testament book of Joshua. Following the years of leadership by Moses, the children of Israel need a new leader. Moses has died, and now it is time for the training given to Joshua by Moses to begin working. The coming years of conquering the "Promised Land" will require strength, obedience, and Godly Leadership.
In this first lesson, Doug gives a basic overview of the book, and sets the stage for this series which will probably continue for about a year.
