And today, we turn to the 15th chapter of the Gospel of John, chapter 15, and verse 6. Yes, today's lesson will be on just one verse in this chapter, which is part of the Upper Room Discourse. Here, Jesus teaches his disciples about Judgment. Who will suffer judgment? Are the followers of Jesus, those who have been saved, exempt from judgment? How long is eternity for the believer? And, can a true believer in Jesus Christ ever lose his salvation? A session that is filled with answers to questions that you are perhaps wondering about.

In the Upper Room Discourse which we are studying as a part of our ongoing series from the Gospel of John, Jesus is teaching the Disciples what they need to know as he leaves them and goes to the cross. This takes place in the Upper Room, and the crucifixion takes place on the very next day. In this passage of John 14:22-26, Jesus introduces the Holy Spirit to the disciples, and promises that the Holy Spirit will be with them. Class teacher Doug Brady also brings out that this passage truly means to love God. Loving God is demonstrated by a choice to act in obedience to God's commands and to live a deeper commitment to please Him. This is the 70th lesson in this series on the Gospel of John.

Last week, we looked at the first question presented to Jesus in the Upper Room Discourse. Timewise, we are just hours away from the crucifixion of Jesus on the Cross, and the disciples have the Passover Meal with Jesus, and then he begins teaching them regarding what is going to happen to him, and what they will be doing in the future to build the church. Some of the disciples have some questions, and Jesus is answering them. This is the 67th lesson in this series.

As we continue in John, we are studying the time just immediately before the cruxifiction of of Jesus. In fact, as he teaches the 11 disciples about the coming of the Church, he is only hours, or even minutes from his arrest. In this section, Jesus speaks of exclusivity and Tolerance, two very important subjects. Class teacher Doug Brady pulls from these 4 verses a wealth of information that we need to know and live by in the 21st century. This is the 66th lesson in this series on the Gospel of John.

We are continuing our study of the Gospel of John. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSONS WE HAVE EVER PRESENTED. Class teacher, Doug Brady, has covered a number of aspects regarding the "Rapture" of the church in the past 2 lessons, but today, he gives proof that the Bible does have information regarding what is called the "Rapture", or the "Carrying Away" of believers. We know that we are currently very close to the time when Jesus will appear in the clouds, and call his children to himself. Many Christians, and many Christian leaders scoff at this idea for a variety of reasons. But this lesson shows that it is real -- and that it is imminent. This is a lesson every Christian should hear. We will certainly be interested in your reaction to this lesson. Please send us an email to let us know. doug@believersbibleclass.com

We are continuing to study the UPPER ROOM DISCOURSE, which was Jesus teaching his 12 disciples and preparing them for his departure. They do not fully understand at this point that He (Jesus) is about to be arrested, tried, and crucified -- all within just a few hours of these verses. Last week, we looked at John 14:1-4, and we once again tackle that short passage today as class teacher, Doug Brady, digs a little deeper into the meaning of the words in this passage. Here, you find definitive proof of the Rapture of the church, a fact that is denied by many Biblical teachers and experts. This is the 64th lesson in this series.

The Believer's Bible Class is part of the First Baptist Church, located in Downtown Dallas, Texas.

We are still in the Upper Room Discourse in our study of the Gospel of John. This week, we are looking at 3 verses in John 13:36-38. In these verses, we see that Jesus is predicting that Peter will deny Jesus before the rooster crows. From this, you know for sure that the crucifixion is very near, and in fact it is the very next day that Jesus goes to the cross. This is the 62nd lesson in this on-going detailed study of the Gospel of John. If you enjoy and learn from these lessons taught by Doug Brady, it would encourage so much if you would send us a short note. You can send it to: Doug@BelieversBibleClass.com . Thank you.

The timing of this passage is during the Feast of the Passover, the day before Jesus is Crucified on the Cross. Jesus and his disciples are in the upper room, and have just celebrated and eaten the Pasover meal. Now, Jesus is teaching them, in preparation for his departure, and their beginning the teaching of Jesus to the whole world. This lesson centers on the betrayer, Judas Iscariot. You will know a lot more about him after you listen to this lesson. This is the 60th lesson in this ongoing series.

We are continuing to move forward in our study of the Gospel of John. This is the 58th lesson in this study, and we have reached the 13th chapter of John. In this chapter, we will be studying the Upper Room Discourse, where Jesus is instructing his disciples during the Passover Meal regarding his "leaving", and their responsibilities. Of course, this takes place on the night of Jesus' arrest, and the day before his crucifixion. There is so much material in this discourse, as it weaves through several chapters. Sunday Jan 28, 2018
We are continuing with our in-depth, ongoing study of the Gospel of John, and this is the 5th lesson taken from John chapter 12. Today, we look at verses 37-43, in a lesson titled: AS THE DISPENSATION TURNS". Class teacher, Doug Brady looks carefully at this pivotal section of scripture, and gleans from it so many wonderful, and challenging truths. Here, we see that although the people have seen the miraculous signs, wonders and miracles performed by Jesus, they choose to reject the idea that He is the Lord, the Creator, the Messiah, the Son of God. And they seek a way to kill Jesus, rather than worshiping Him.
